Jonah Goldman Kay is a writer, curator, and art historian based in New Orleans.
My research focuses on photography and materiality from the nineteenth century to the present. My writing appears in Frieze, Artforum, Hyperallergic, BOMB, and The Brooklyn Rail, among other publications. I have also curated exhibitions in New York, Bucharest, and Paris. I am also an Editor at Slip magazine, an arts writing publication in New Orleans, and write winter garden on Substack.
Previously, I was a researcher at Hauser & Wirth and continue to frequently consult on research projects relating to 20th and 21st century European and American art.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Columbia University and am currently a graduate student in Art History at Tulane University.
